Travel concessions for elderly people

From the age of 60, if you have a permanent address is in West Lancashire, you may be eligible to apply for travel concessions.

 

What you need to provide

If you are applying for travel concessions for the first time you must provide evidence of:

  • Your age - this could be a birth certificate, current passport, full driving license or pension documents 
  • Documentary proof of your National Insurance number 
  • New claimants for an English National Bus Concession will also require a photograph - which will be taken by us at the time of application.

Choice of concessions

You can choose one of the following options:

The age of eligibility for an English National bus pass is changing. These changes will apply to anyone born on or after 5 April 1950. Travel tokens and senior railcards are available to people from the age of 60 onwards.
