Accelerating business growth in Lancashire
Regenerate Pennine Lancashire
(external link) has secured funding to deliver a capital
investment scheme across Lancashire to help businesses bring
forward investment for expansion projects e.g. premises, plant and
machinery, which will create sustainable jobs. The scheme is due to
be launched soon and we are keen to hear from businesses who may
have plans in the pipeline and are interested in learning more

Rural business grants
Funding is now available across the rural
areas of Lancashire through the Rural Development Programme for
England, offering support for a range of business
improvement ideas. The programme runs from April 2009 until

Lancashire small rural scale renewables scheme
This scheme is a simple accessible capital
grant fund to assist businesses in Lancashire that wish to install
small scale renewable energy generation
equipment.

Sefton and West Lancashire Visitor Economy Project
Sefton Council and West Lancashire Borough Council have
successfully secured funding from the Local Sustainability
Transport Fund to deliver a visitor economy project across the two
councils, in partnership with West Lancashire CVS and Sefton
CVS. The area covers the Sefton coast from Waterloo to
Southport, and inland to incorporate western parts of West
Lancashire, including Ormskirk and Burscough.
The funding will concentrate on 5 key
elements:
- Leisure routes and facilities
- Improved facilities for walking and
cycling
- Developing and promoting the visitor
offer
- Southport Cycle Hire
- Southport eastern park and ride
