West Lancashire Borough Council, acting as Licensing Authority
under the Gambling Act 2005, must publish a statement of policy
about how it will administer its responsibilities under the
Act.
The Council's policy was revised in 2009, and having been
approved on 19 January 2010, was published and came into force on
the 31 January 2010.
The policy was subject to a 12 week consultation period during
the latter part of 2009, which involved all major stakeholders in
the gambling industry and the public of West Lancashire.
