The Council aims to make the best use of resources to deliver
the best possible services and as a public body spending taxpayers'
money we work hard to ensure that the Council gets value for money
from its spending.
In 2011-12 the Council proposes to spend a total of £81.924m on
providing day to day services for the local community. This
spending will be funded by £67.647m of income raised through
grants, rents, interest, fees, charges and other sources resulting
in a budget requirement of £14.277m.
The budget that has been set will not require any increase in the
council tax level, which will remain frozen at the same level as
the previous two years.
