Councillors
We have 54 District Councillors serving the 25 wards of the
district. Councillors are elected by a simple majority and serve
for four years.
All information about District Councillors - including their
contact details, party affilitations, and the committees on which
they sit - is stored in Council Information.
Contacting your District Councillor
There are a number of ways to find out about District Councillors
in Council Information:
· If you know who your Councillor is, click on 'Council
Members', all names are listed alphabetically.
· If you don't know who your Councillor is, click on
'Members by Ward'.
· If you don't know which ward you live in use the Find Your Ward page.
County Councillors
County Councillors for West Lancashire are elected every four years
and are democratically accountable to residents in their electoral
division. Their overriding duty is to the whole community of
Lancashire, but they have a special duty to their constituents,
including those who did not vote for them.
