Success of Farmers' Market continues for
2008
Ormskirk's popular Farmers' Market is returning to the town centre
at the weekend.
On Friday 8 February more than 20 stalls will be lining Aughton
Street offering a variety of wares, much of it produced
locally.
As well as traditional produce such as fresh eggs and homemade
bread, there are also more exotic items to try, such as to guinea
fowl and ostrich meat.
The market promises to be an excellent chance to pick up some
wholesome treats.
Cllr David Westley, Portfolio Holder for Street Scene, said:
"The first appearances of the market have proved to be very popular
and I hope that it will soon become a regular feature in the town
centre helping to attract even more visitors and business to the
district.
"The market operates from 9.30am to 2.30pm and I would encourage
everyone to put the date in their diaries now and make sure they
don't miss out on this unique shopping experience."
