Still time to apply for a Community Chest
grant
Funding problems? Then we might be able to help through our
Community Chest.
West Lancashire District Council runs this popular grant scheme
to support deserving community groups and individuals who help
others.
In the past, the Council has helped a variety of groups
including brownies and guides, veterans, pensioner groups, and
music, church and health groups.
Now you too have the chance to apply for financial assistance if
you meet the criteria. To apply, your application should help
either:
· under 18s
· the elderly
· the disadvantaged
· the community either socially, recreationally or
educationally
Funding decisions are made four times a year and the deadline
for the next round of applications is Monday 30 June.
Cllr Geoff Hammond, Portfolio Holder for Community Services,
said: "Over the years we have been able to help so many deserving
causes through our Community Chest. I would urge community
organisations and individuals who are in need of funds to find out
whether they meet the criteria for funding so that we can help them
achieve their dreams."
