CCTV plans for Burscough
Criminals will soon be under the watchful eye of CCTV cameras as
plans have been given the go-ahead to protect Burscough Industrial
Estate.
West Lancashire District Council agreed at last week's Council
meeting (18th April) to install a CCTV scheme to enhance security
measures for businesses in this area.
The scheme will include nine cameras on the estate to monitor the
movement of people and traffic who come in and out of the area
24/7.
It is hoped that it will be a welcome addition to the already
stringent security measures on the estate and will enhance the
Business Watch radio scheme that currently operates on site.
Jayne Traverse, Interim Manager for Regeneration and Estates, said:
"The new CCTV scheme we have planned for Burscough will not only
act as a deterrent to would-be criminals but will reassure the
businesses already on the estate that the cameras are watching
anybody acting suspiciously day and night! The extra security
measures will hopefully attract even more companies to the area and
boost the local economy too."
It is intended that all the works will be completed and the system
become fully operational by the end of the year.
If your business is located on Burscough industrial estate and you
