Cluster together to show West Lancashire's technology
strengths
If you are a computer whiz entrepreneur then why not help to put
West Lancashire on the map as a centre of excellence for this type
of business.
West Lancashire District Council is setting up its own ICT and New
Media Cluster and is urging companies to get involved.
Working in partnership with Lancaster University and Business Link,
the Council's aim is to set up this not-for-profit network of
organisations to increase business growth.
Any company involved in information technology, new media, digital
or creative work is invited to come along to the first cluster
meeting on 19th April at West Lancashire investment Centre,
Whitemoss, Skelmersdale, from 5.30pm to 7.30pm.
Those who come along to the event will find out how they can work
together to provide a free and open exchange of knowledge,
information and business opportunities; increase the profile of
West Lancs; and engage with the organisations that are reshaping
the region and the industry.
Jayne Traverse, Interim Manager for Regeneration and Estates, said:
"Clusters have been developed in other parts of the region and are
proving to be a real success which is why we know that it will be a
great new initiative for West Lancashire too. Our goal is to have
as many companies sign up as possible to help increase business
growth and develop clearer lines of communication and support
between businesses and other agencies."
