Take a magical walk at Fairy Glen

Sprinkle your Saturday with a little fairy magic by joining the
District Council's Countryside Rangers on their popular walk around
Fairy Glen.
On the 14 April ramblers can enjoy a picturesque 10km guided walk,
and discover the enchanting beauty of Fairy Glen's meandering
streams and picturesque waterfalls.
David Tilleray, the District Council's Executive Manager for
Community Services, said: "Spring is finally here and I can think
of no better time to get out into the great outdoors. Fairy Glen is
a hidden treasure in West Lancashire - people drive past it every
day without even realising it's there. This walk is a great chance
to take time out and actually enjoy the wonders that are right on
your doorstep - you won't be disappointed."
If you would like to take part meet the Rangers at the lay-by off
A5209, Appley Bridge at 10.30am.
Don't forget to wear suitable clothing, footwear and remember to
bring a packed lunch.
The event is free and is suitable for all age groups but children
under 16 years old must be accompanied by an adult.
