Citizens' Guide 2007 hits the streets
Watch out for West Lancashire District Council's new-look favourite
publication, the Citizens' Guide 2007, which has just hit the
streets.
The Guide is currently being delivered to homes across West
Lancashire and is jam packed with useful information for residents
about Council services.
This year's popular publication has been produced in full colour
and is even more user friendly to use with an A to Z index so that
it is quicker and easier to find what you are looking for.
For the first time ever, it also includes a special four-page
pullout listing all local Councillors' contact details along with
their individual pictures, a ward map, information about your
Council and democracy and a timetable of meetings for 2007.
What's more, the magazine even has a whole section dedicated to
clubs and organisations, charities, facilities, societies, and
other useful numbers, as well as listing the services that
Lancashire County Council provides.
Cllr Geoff M. Roberts, the Leader of the Council, said: "Our
Citizens' Guide is an extremely popular publication because it is
so useful to keep around the house. I'm delighted that we have been
able to give it a brand new look this year for residents to enjoy.
And it's simple A to Z format makes it so easy to find the
information you are looking for by simply looking under the
relevant letter for the service you want. I also think the special
Councillor pullout will prove to be a popular addition for our
customers. It's also packed with other useful numbers and services
- so make sure you keep it handy!"
The Citizens' Guide is produced by the Council and Graphic Design
and is fully funded by advertising revenue.
The Guide is available in other formats including Braille, audio
tape/CD, and large print upon request.
