We want your ideas for Market Towns
Initiative

Would you like to see improvements in Ormskirk and Burscough?
Are you interested in finding out more about what's going on, and
putting your suggestions forward?
A series of events has been organised as part of the Market Towns
Initiative - an ambitious project to revitalise the two towns - and
local people are invited to get involved.
The events will feature displays about developments in the area,
and will give people the opportunity to take part in exercises to
put forward their ideas about what improvements they would like to
see.
The Market Towns Initiative focuses on four main themes -
· Natural environment e.g. countryside, cycle routes
· Economy - jobs, tourism, business
· Social and community issues e.g. leisure pastimes, housing,
crime
· Transport and accessibility
Cllr Ian Grant, portfolio holder for regeneration, said: "The
Market Towns Initiative is an exciting project which will help
revitalise Ormskirk and Burscough. We know that local people who
live and work in the towns have a real understanding of their area,
and a genuine passion to see things improve. So we are inviting
people to come along and get involved. I urge you to go along to
the events and find out more."
