Holiday highs with the Junior Rangers
This year's Junior Rangers' Summer Events Programme is packed
with fun activities to help banish boredom this summer
With even more exciting events planned than ever before, children
will be able to enjoy a wide range of activities - for free!
From exciting mini beast hunts and pond dipping, to learning all
about the countryside code and how to care for wildlife, there will
be heaps on offer to keep kids entertained.
Cllr Rob Bailey, Portfolio Holder for Leisure, said: "For the past
two years the Junior Rangers' Club has been a big hit with
youngsters and this year promises to be even better.
"By joining the club children not only benefit from lots of fresh
air and exercise, they also learn all about the environment, have
lots of fun and make new friends - and best of all it's absolutely
free!"
The club starts on 23rd July and runs every Monday, Wednesday and
Friday, between 2pm and 4pm at Beacon Country Park, Up Holland
until 1st September. Anyone who would like to join in the fun
should contact the Rangers on 01695 622794 or email beacon.park@westlancsdc.gov.uk
.
The club is completely free of charge and aimed at children aged 5
to 13 years old (under 8's must be accompanied by an adult) and
provides a varied programme of activities relating to nature,
conservation and the environment.
