Easter treasure ahoy with the Countryside
Rangers

There's eggstra fun to be had this Easter with the District
Council's Junior Rangers' Club.
On top of their usual monthly event the Countryside Rangers will be
organising additional activities to help keep boredom at bay over
the Easter break.
The entertainment will kick off with woodland games on Wednesday 4
April, where children will have heaps of fun whilst learning lots
of fascinating facts about trees.
On Saturday 7 April the Rangers will host a treasure hunt around
the grounds of Beacon Country Park. Those that track down the
hidden letters, and spell out the secret spring word, will receive
an Easter treat! The fun will then be rounded off on Wednesday 11
April with a bushcraft event, demonstrating how to live off the
land and survive in the woods.
Cllr David Westley, Portfolio Holder for Community Services, said:
"Our Rangers have organised lots of activities to help liven up the
Easter break for kids. The activities are a great chance for
children to get out into the great outdoors, make new friends and,
above all, to make sure their Easter break is chock-a-block with
fun."
These events will take place from 2pm to 4pm at Beacon Country
Park, Up Holland, and are free.
The Junior Rangers' Club is run by the Council's Countryside
Rangers for children up to the aged of 13. All are welcome but
children under 8 must be accompanied by an adult.
