Kickabout this Easter

Youngsters in Skelmersdale needn't be bored this Easter holidays
with plenty of outdoor sports on offer.
West Lancashire District Council's Sports Development Team has
organised a number of activities to take place at the local
kickabouts in Birch Green, Tanhouse, Digmoor and Inglewhite.
Children will have a chance to try out football, basketball,
cricket, hockey and other sports during the school break if they
visit one of the sites.
Cllr David Westley, Portfolio Holder for Community Services, said:
"Now that the warmer weather is almost upon us it's a great
opportunity for youngsters to get back outdoors again and have some
fun during the Easter break. The kickabout sessions are a great way
to spend the holidays getting fit, taking part in friendly games
and making new friends at the same time."
The free sessions are on at each of the sites on 2nd, 3rd, 4th,
10th, 11th, and 12th April, between 12noon and 4pm.
Young people who attend at least one of the days will be eligible
to go on exciting trips on either the 5th or 13th April for a small
charge.
You can find the kickabouts at by the play area in Inglewhite, at
Fairhaven in Birch Green and next to the community centres in
Birleywood, Digmoor and Ennerdale, Tanhouse.
