Talk business and network!

'Let's Talk Business' is the theme for an exciting networking
event aimed at all companies across West Lancashire.
On Wednesday 28th March, entrepreneurs are being invited to attend
this latest session at the Council's flagship Investment Centre as
part of the recently launched Enterprising West Lancashire
project.
On the night guest speaker Mike Worthington - who has been running
a network organisation in Cheshire for 10 years - will be giving a
talk on how companies can network effectively.
He will be focusing on body language, communication techniques and
other useful tips and advice to ensure that businesses can get the
best from networking.
Cllr Ian Grant, Portfolio Holder for Regeneration, said:
"Networking is a fine art and is a very useful tool in the business
world today, which is why it is important to get it right. I'd
encourage existing companies to sign up for this free event to
learn the techniques of network. It's also a great opportunity to
put into practice what you have learnt on the night because it's a
chance to network afterwards!"
The event is free and starts at 6.30pm at the Investment Centre,
White Moss Business Park, Skelmersdale. It also includes
refreshments. However, places are limited and must be booked in
advance. Also, don't forget that there are still a few other
workshops taking place until the 28th March. If you would like
further information on the events or to book your place, contact
Lisa Ratican on 01695 677177 or email info.edu@westlancsdc.gov.uk. For

The overall aim of the Enterprising West Lancashire project is to
provide advice and support to local businesses or anyone thinking
about starting a new venture by offering one-to-one support,
networking events and access to specialist support. Its overall aim
is to encourage greater productivity, create additional jobs and
boost the local economy.
The project is all thanks to the District Council securing funding
of £250,000 through the European Regional Development Fund and
Business Incubation Fund. At the moment the project is targeting
Skelmersdale but hopes to expand to other areas across the District
in the future.
