Dial 'A' for Arts!
An exciting new initiative to develop an A-Z directory of art
groups in West Lancashire is underway.
West Lancashire District Council's Arts Development Service is
currently working on its first ever specialist book to publish the
names, addresses, contacts and details of all the art groups who
provide a service in the area.
It is a fantastic opportunity for organisations to reach new
members and it will also let people in the district know about the
variety of amateur, voluntary and professional groups here in West
Lancashire.
The directory will be as easy as using the 'Yellow Pages' and will
cover performing arts, creative writing, visual arts, music,
dancing and other service providers in the creative world.
It is free to sign up to the new contact book but the deadline for
entries is 2nd July 2007.
Councillor Rob Bailey, Portfolio Holder for Leisure, said: "This is
a great chance for art groups across the district to really promote
their activities to a wide audience. They will be featured free of
charge in a quality directory but without the headache of having to
search through so many pages! I'd urge organisations to get in
touch to be included in this brand new publication."
Once finalised, the directory will be published on the Chapel Gallery section of
our website, and in public buildings across the district.
Visit the Chapel
Gallery section for an application form, or contact the Chapel
Gallery on 01695 571328.
