What's on at your leisure centre?
Want to find out what's on at your local leisure centre and their
opening times? Then just pick up one of a range of bright new
leaflets.
To compliment the existing online information about activities,
timetables and facilities at the five centres, West Lancashire
Community Leisure Trust has also published booklets for those who
don't have access to a computer.
They concentrate on the facilities at Park Pool, Nye Bevan, Banks,
Skelmersdale and Burscough, as well as separate membership
information and workout timetables too.
For example, did you know that there is line dancing, trampolining
and roller-skating discos at Banks Leisure Centre? In Skelmersdale
they have gymnastics coaching. And not forgetting that Banks,
Burscough, Nye Bevan and Park Pool host junior gym sessions.
These are in addition to more traditional activities such as
exercise classes, the gym, badminton, tennis and outdoor sports
such as football and netball and they can cater for children's
parties too. Park Pool and Nye Bevan also have swimming
facilities.
Tony Wood, Contract Manager for Serco, said: "We know from
listening to our customers and visitors that not everybody has
access to the Internet which is why we thought it would be useful
to have these new booklets printed that people can pick up. They
highlight all our facilities and provide lots of essential
information such as opening times and programme timetables."
Dave Tilleray, Executive Manager Community Services, added: "The
Trust is doing a great job in providing leisure facilities that are
state-of-the-art places that people want to use. This latest work
also compliments their continual investment into the five centres
to make sure that they are giving the customers what they
want."
The new leaflets can be picked up at any of the five leisure
centres. Those who can access the website can also visit the
Sports
Centres section or West Lancs Leisure for this
information.
