Zap those insects online

Take the sting out of nuisance creepy crawlies in double-click time
by requesting the District Council's pest control service online on
our Pest Control
section.
Now that the warmer weather is upon us ants and wasps are also out
in force. But help is at hand because you can get a selection of
useful fact sheets all about zapping away annoying insects from the
home and garden free from the Council's website.
By visiting Pest
Control you will find handy tips for getting rid of ants,
cockroaches, fleas, mice, rats and wasps. They cover descriptions
of each of the species, together with advice on why they need to be
controlled, what home treatments are available and what services
the Council offers too.
There's an online form that residents can fill in to tell the
Council of any pest problems they are experiencing and you can also
order a treatment and pay for the service online - which saves
time!
The Council even offers a free insect identification service for
those who know that they have creepy crawlies but aren't sure what
they are! This is particularly beneficial because until you know
what they are you won't know how to treat them.
Dave Tilleray, Executive Manager Community Services, said: "When
you're having problems with creepy crawlies it is a real nuisance.
To make it even quicker and easier to treat the problem we have
lots of help available online so residents know what to do next in
double click time."
"Our pest control service provides advice and treatment for many
public health and nuisance pest problems in domestic and commercial
premises - so log onto the website today to find out how we can
take the sting out of the problem."
