Customers have chance to improve leisure centre
facilities
Fitness enthusiasts who have ideas on how to improve the five
leisure centres in West Lancashire are being urged to come along to
the autumn forums.
West Lancashire Community Leisure Trust is keen to listen to the
needs of customers and has regular feedback meetings to discuss
their views.
For the next round of customer meetings in October and November,
the Trust wants to find out how their visits can be further
improved.
They will focus on a number of topics including the current
programme of activities and Christmas opening times. They will also
discuss the new plans for the new Astroturf all-weather pitches in
Banks and the programming of music in the fitness suites at all the
centres.
Bill Lloyd, Chairman of the West Lancashire Community Leisure
Trust, said: "We are always keen to listen to our customers, which
is why the forums are so important. The previous events have been
very well attended and have resulted in some positive changes. Now
customers once again have an opportunity to discuss their ideas and
give us their feedback."
Previous suggestions from customers, which have resulted in
positive changes, include opening hours, more new classes and small
improvement works.
Now leisure users have the opportunity to have their say again at
the next round of meetings, which all start at 7pm:
· Skelmersdale Sports Centre, Digmoor Road on 25th October
· Nye Bevan Pool, Southway, Skelmersdale on 1st November.
· Banks Leisure Centre, Greaves Hall Avenue, Banks on 8th
November.
· Burscough Sports Centre, Bobby Langton Way on 15th
November.
· Park Pool, Park Road, Ormskirk on 22nd November.
Cllr Rob Bailey, Portfolio Holder for Leisure, said: "Customers
have been particularly keen to join in the forums, which is great,
and they appreciate that the Trust is actually taking on board
their comments. I would encourage users to make sure they come
along to the forums because their views really do count."
