A winning team
The District Council's team of Customer Services Advisors are
now officially offering even higher standards of customer
care.
Eight members of Customer Services, most of whom are based at the
Customer Service Point in Skelmersdale, have now completed a
National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) at level two or three in
Customer Care, boosting their skills and joining the eleven
Ormskirk based staff who also qualified back in March.
This now means that the core team of Customer Service Advisors, who
answer phone calls from customers, deal with visitors to the
council offices and answer queries sent in by email, are offering
an excellent standard service, which is continually
improving.
Cllr Geoff Roberts, Leader of the Council, said: "Undertaking a
course at any point in life is a challenge but this is particularly
the case when people are also holding down a job. The fact that our
staff have been prepared to use their own time to study towards
these qualifications only serves to highlight what a dedicated team
we have and I congratulate them wholeheartedly on their commitment
to customer service. Not only is this achievement great for their
personal development but it will also enhance the service that our
customers receive."
Liz Basterra, Course Co-ordinator from Skelmersdale College, said:
"Everyone from the Council's Customer Services Team has put 100%
into studying for these qualifications and I am delighted to be
able to present them with their NVQ certificates - they are very
much deserved."
