Hole in one for Chairman's charities
A recent
charity golf day has been proclaimed a swinging success for the
Chairman's charities after raising a fantastic £1320.
Hosted by Beacon Country Park Golf Club, six teams of local golfers
were sponsored to compete for the Chairman's Charity Cup on Sunday
23 September.
The day was thoroughly enjoyed by all who attended and was topped
off with charity raffle and delicious dinner, which was kindly
provided for the hungry players by the golf club.
Cllr William Cropper, Chairman of the Council, said: "The day was a
huge success and I would like to thank everyone who took part -
especially those who provided sponsorship and Beacon Park Golf Club
for kindly hosting the event. A fantastic amount has been raised
and it will all be of huge benefit for my chosen charities the
Scouts and Girl Guides."
