Think outside of the box with recycling
roadshow
A fantastic new roadshow series designed to
help residents to think outside of their standard recycling boxes,
bags and bins, is coming to town.
From 10am - 2pm the roadshow will be held at the following
venues:
Tuesday 25 September - St Marks Square car park, Tarleton
Wednesday 26 September - Tesco carpark, Burscough
Thursday 27 September - Ormskirk market stall, Moor Street,
Ormskirk
Friday 28 September - Asda carpark, Skelmersdale
At each event residents will be able to have any questions about
the refuse and recycling scheme answered, as well as discovering a
host of new information on how recycling can be taken even further.
There will even be details on how to make your own compost, the
real nappy campaign and simple energy saving tips.
The roadshow will also be visited on Wednesday and Thursday by the
Council's Street Scene Officers who will be handing out handy free
pocket ashtrays and advising people on how they can report
littering problems and fly tipping.
Cllr David Westley, Portfolio Holder for Refuse and Recycling,
said: "We are constantly striving for an even cleaner, greener and
safer West Lancashire and I am delighted that these roadshows are
being held to offer extra advice and ideas for residents about
recycling. It's great news that our Street Scene Officers will also
be making an appearance as, with the help of these roadshows, it is
hoped that residents will discover even more ways to help and
protect our environment for future generations."
More information and ideas about recycling can be found by visiting
the Refuse and Recycling section.
