Call for sites for business and
industry
Do you know of any land or premises in West
Lancs that might be suitable for business or industrial
development? If so, then get in touch with West Lancs District
Council.
West Lancs has teamed up with Halton, Knowsley and
Sefton Councils to conduct an important
study across the four areas to assess the availability of land and
premises that could be suitable for industrial or business
development. The findings from the study will be used in each
Council’s planning and economic development policies.
As part of the study the councils are asking
for local people to submit their suggestions for potential business
or industry sites as part of the ‘Call for Sites’ process. The
deadline for submission of sites is 18 July 2008.
If you wish to submit a site for consideration
or would like more information please go to our planning pages.
Cllr Martin Forshaw, Portfolio Holder for
Planning said: “This study will form part of the background work
for new planning policy and will
guide future development in each Council area. It will play an
important role in business and industrial developments and, in
turn, help to create jobs.”
