Don’t be stuck for a party trick with our balloon
sessions
Visitors will be bursting with excitement at all the wonderful
things they can create with balloons at the next family friendly
activity at Chapel Gallery.
On Saturday 15 August there will be three sessions with artist
Winston Plowes who will be showing children and their parents the
sheer variety of tricks that can be done with balloons.
Why not have a pop at one of the following workshops, which are
£2 each:
- Balloon Pets, 10.30am - make a pet that will float while
you walk
- Fairy Tale and Folk Lore, 12pm - spend a magical
afternoon with knights and princesses and all kinds of strange
creatures
- Make Music, 2pm - blow up your own musical
instrument
Cllr Andrew Fowler, Portfolio Holder for Community Services,
said: "These sessions will provide hours of fun for all the family
as they learn how to create all sorts of interesting shapes with
balloons. You will never be stuck for a party trick again."
This latest activity complements the free weekly room the
gallery provides every Saturday that is dedicated to creative
pastimes for both parents and youngsters to enjoy. Whilst there,
visitors can meet the gallery’s friendly team or join in the
specially organised activities to accompany the current exhibition
on show, which is the popular West Lancashire Open Exhibition.
The family friendly activities enhance the school holiday
workshops for youngsters, exhibitions, events and other excellent
facilities. To find out more contact 01695 571328, visit the
