Outdoor fun this Christmas
Christmas is almost upon us so why not join our
Rangers for some festive outdoor fun during December.
Yuletide celebrations wouldn’t be the same without some
traditional pastimes away from the hustle and bustle of it all. So
West Lancashire Borough Council’s Parks and Countryside Service has
organised a variety of events to get people into the festive
spirit.
There’s everything from making decorations from materials
collected in the woodlands, carol concerts, the popular winter
solstice walk and even a Christmas quiz in the park! Check the
Council website www.westlancs.gov.uk/events
for more details.
Cllr Andrew Fowler, Portfolio Holder for Community Services,
said: "Winter is a lovely time of year to explore our parks and
countryside and escape from the Christmas rush too. And just to
make sure that our visitors get into the Christmas spirit we have
put together an exciting array of activities to ensure some extra
festive fun."
Events are free to join but it’s a good idea to book in advance,
as places are limited. For more information or to book events at
