Half term activities for children
To give parents a break over half term, West Lancashire District
Council has organised a week of children’s activities (16 - 20
February 2009).
From arts and crafts days, sports sessions and outdoor
activities in the countryside there’s plenty to keep children
entertained! Whether they’re creative, sporty or adventurous, the
half term events are a great chance to have fun and make new
friends.
The events take place at various locations including Chapel
Gallery, leisure centres, village halls and Beacon Country
Park.
Cllr Geoff Hammond, Portfolio Holder for Community Services and
Health, said:“During half term, children sometimes get bored,
spending too much time in front of the television or playing
computer games. To allow them to enjoy their free time and be more
active, the Council has arranged a whole set of fun activities.
Take a look at the events on offer and make the most of half
term!”
Chapel Gallery, St Helens Rd, Ormskirk, is hosting two arts and
crafts workshops to let children be more creative. Each workshop
costs £8.50 per child and is for children ages 8 to 16. To book a
