All your drug and alcohol advice under one
roof!
Drug and alcohol users in West Lancashire who want help can find
all the information they need in a brand new service directory.
For the first time ever, Lancashire Drug and Alcohol Action Team
(LDAAT) has published a booklet full of useful advice and contacts,
which has been especially designed for service users.
The initiative has been part-funded by the West Lancashire
Community Safety Partnership, of which the District Council is the
lead agency.
The idea behind it is so that users can quickly and easily find
out about the types of service and support that are available to
them across the district.
It has been designed to be really easy to use and because it is
pocket sized it can be carried around anywhere.
The directory covers everything from counselling, detox and
rehabilitation programmes to needle exchange services and support.
Because the publication has been put together in full consultation
with users, it is also in an easy to read and understand
format.
Cllr Paul Greenall, Portfolio Holder for Community Safety,
said:
"This is a fantastic initiative that will really benefit both
service users and service providers because it provides a quick
reference to all types of support across the district for those who
have a drug or alcohol problem. I’m delighted that we have been
able to fund such a worthwhile project."
The directory covers West Lancashire and neighbouring areas and
will be available at all key service providers’ premises. For a
copy, please contact Cliff Owens, Community Safety Officer, on
