West Lancashire Local Strategic Partnership goes
live!
If you want to influence decisions, find out about specific
topics or what other groups are doing in West Lancs - do it in

The West Lancashire Local Strategic Partnership - which is a
voluntary partnership between public organisations, private
companies and the voluntary and faith sector - is about to launch
its own website. This is to build its own identity and provide a
dedicated central point of contact for both members and the
public.
Rosie Cooper MP, Chairman of the West Lancashire Local Strategic
Partnership, said: "At the moment, there are more than 80
organisations and individuals in the LSP working to improve the
social, economic and environmental well being of the district. Yet
despite all the good work we carry out, a lot of community members
don’t know that much about the group. So the idea behind the
website is to build our reputation and spread the good word about
what the partnership does."
Www.westlancslsp.org goes live on 11 August and those who visit
the website will be able to find out the partnership’s priorities
for West Lancashire to improve the quality of life for local
people.
It lists action plans from the themed groups, which are: Health
and Well-Being, Children and Young People, Community Safety,
Learning and Skills, Natural Environment, and Integrated
Transport.
There’s also a news and events section, a consultation section
and information on priority projects such as the Market Towns
Initiative for Ormskirk and Burscough, Skelmersdale regeneration
and the Safer, Stronger Communities Fund for Digmoor, Moorside and
parts of Tanhouse.
Cllr Ian Grant, Leader of West Lancashire District Council,
said: "The District Council is one of the main partners on the LSP
and we think this website is just what is needed! It will benefit
both partners within the group and the general public who want to
share information and don’t want to have to trawl various sites
because it will be under the one roof. It’s also a really
eye-catching website designed by local company Loaf, who are based
at our flagship Investment Centre, and it’s really easy to use - so
get clicking!"
