Replacement Local Plan
After a preparation process lasting five years, the Replacement
West Lancashire Local Plan was adopted by the Council on 5th July
2006. It has been amended in line with the recommendations of the
Inspector's
Report following the Public Inquiry held in summer 2005.
The Replacement Plan supersedes the West
Lancashire Local Plan 1999.
It is anticipated that the Replacement Plan will remain the adopted
Plan for the District until mid-late 2009. From now until that
date, the Council will be working on various documents to make up
the Local Development Framework for the
District, as required under the new planning system introduced in
2004.
