The National Pandemic Flu Service was launched in
England, in July 2009, to provide assessment and treatment for
people suffering from swine flu.
As the number of swine flu
cases is now falling, the service has closed.
However, if you think you have swine flu symptoms, you should:
- stay at home
- contact your GP (who will be able to
assess you and authorise anti-virals if you need them) or contact
NHS Direct on 0845 4647
Swine flu symptoms
- a fever or high temperature (over 38ºC/100.4ºF)
- two of the following symptoms: unusual tiredness, headache,
runny nose, sore throat, shortness of breath or cough, loss of
appetite, aching muscles, diarrhoea or vomiting
