Applying for a council property

Applying for a council property

housing - planning

We own approximately 6350 council houses, flats and bungalows across the district and work together with other social landlords and the private sector to maximise housing opportunities for the residents.

In many areas we have high demand for our council homes and therefore hold a waiting list. In other areas we have a larger number of homes and therefore, people applying for these areas have more chance of being allocated a home quickly. The Voids and Allocations team will tell you where you are likely to receive a quicker offer.
