Housing tenant and resident associations
We're committed to enabling tenants and residents to get
involved in the way their estates are managed. We're always looking
for ways to make sure tenants and residents can have their say in
the housing issues that might affect them.
There are a number of ways you can get involved in managing your
home and improving the area in which you live, like:
· Tenant and resident groups
· The tenants' and residents' forum
You can also provide your views directly to us by either
phoning, emailing or writing to us - just contact
the Estate Management team.
Getting involved in Tenant and Resident
Associations
The Tenant and Resident Associations take part in various
activities from developing community projects to assisting the
Housing Department in the delivery of their services. The groups
work along side the Housing and Property Maintenance Department as
well as other Council Departments and external agencies such as the
Police.

Tenants' and Residents' Forum
All of the tenant and resident representatives attend the
Tenants' and Residents' Forum. The Forum meets every two
months and is open to all tenants and residents in West Lancashire.
This Forum gives the people attending the chance to ask questions
and be consulted on housing issues.
Tenant Compact
The Tenant Compact is an agreement between West Lancashire
District Council and its tenants which covers tenant participation
in all aspects of Housing Services.
> Download the Tenant Compact
The Compact contains a list of actions required which were
agreed between tenants, Councillors and members of staff to further
develop the involvements of tenants in the management of their
houses and estates.
