The Ranger Service runs an annual programme of events and
activities ranging from guided walks and themed strolls to
children's workshops and local festivals.

Major events during the year include our Green Fayre at Beacon
Country Park, which attracts thousands of visitors.
A full programme of guided walks caters for all abilities and
interests, from those suited to easy health walks and themed
strolls looking at our local wildlife and landscape, to those who
prefer more strenuous full day walks around the West Lancashire
countryside.
Children are important visitors to the countryside and the Rangers
enhance their visits by running a Junior Rangers' Club.
