The Market Traders' Code of Practice, which
includes the Market Regulations and sets out how trading will be
conducted on Ormskirk market, has been in place for a considerable
time. In 2010 a consultation exercise was undertaken to review the
regulations to bring them up to date and to make them easier to
read and understand.
As part of this consultation all stall holders
and the National Market Traders Federation were asked for
their views on the proposed new regulations. The
consultation has now been completed and the new regulations were
introduced on 1 April 2011.
