Motorcycle Nuisance

Motorcycle nuisance

Motorcycle Leaflet front coverThe council is working with the Community Safety Partnership to help reduce motorcycle problems in the district.

The CSP has put up signs in problem areas, and built barriers at Thornbury Underpass leading to Tawd Valley Park to stop Riders trespassing. Areas in Skelmersdale - which tends to suffer more than other places because of its open network of footpaths and countryside - will also be targeted.

Motorbike leaflet
As part of this action, motorcycle riders, or people who sufferer motorcycle nuisance, can now get an advice leaflet to address and educate people on the problems created through nuisance or illegal off-road motorcycles, Quad bikes or Go-peds.

  • information to inform riders about groups they can get in touch with to ensure they are riding legally

  • advice for parents
  • types of offences and the penalties that motorcyclists can incur as a result if they are not a safe/legal rider
