If you're planning a family
There's plenty of advice and useful information to consider before
you start a family. This includes looking after your health,
choosing your maternity care, how to conceive and what to watch out
for during pregnancy.
See your doctor if you want to talk about any health issues like
healthy eating, weight, smoking and drinking, medicines and dealing
with emotions. Your GP will be able to confirm whether or not you
are pregnant, give you advice and support and arrange your
antenatal care. If you don't have a local GP, you should register
with one as soon as you can:
