Parking permits

Parking permits
We run a parking permit scheme on Hants Lane car park, Ormskirk. Up to 50 permits are issued for this car park but only a limited number are available at the present time. They can be purchased monthly or annually. The cost is £21 per month or £168 per year.

Lancashire County Council operate the following parking permit schemes:

Residents' parking permits
There are currently two streets in West Lancashire with residents' parking schemes for which permits are available: Dyers Lane and Chapel Street in Ormskirk. Lancashire County Council (external link) is responsible for the issue of parking permits in these roads.

Contractor’s permits

A contractor's permit is issued when building work or maintenance is necessary to a property or building outside of which there are parking restrictions - such as double yellow lines.  A dispensation to park may be issued to allow a vehicle to park, provided that the parking does not cause an obstruction or present a hazard to road users or pedestrians. For more information visit about contractor's permits please visit Lancashire County Council (external link).
