Supplementary Planning Documents (SPDs)
What are SPDs?
Supplementary Planning Documents (SPDs) provide extra guidance or
detail in relation to a particular policy. They are similar to
the Supplementary Planning
Guidance notes (SPGs) from the previous planning system,
although SPDs are prepared in a slightly different way from
SPGs.
Current SPDs in West Lancashire
The three SPDs below have been adopted and form part of the
development plan for West Lancashire. We will use these when
determining planning applications.
Other SPDs
Details of other SPDs being prepared will be posted on this web
page as they become available.
