Development Control performance figures:
planning applications
Each year the government specify targets in which planning
applications should be determined. The targets are:
- Determine 60% of major applications in 13 weeks
- Determine 65% of minor applications in 8 weeks
- Determine 80% of other applications in 8 weeks
- Determine 90% of applications through delegated powers
Below are the performance figures for Development Control.
In 2007/08 the Council's Development Control
section achieved the following results:
- Determined 58% of major applications in 13 weeks
- Determined 67% of minor applications in 8 weeks
- Determined 87% of other applications in 8 weeks
- Determined 93% of applications through delegated powers
In 2006/07 the Council's Development Control
section achieved the following results:
- Determined 64% of major applications in 13 weeks
- Determined 82% of minor applications in 8 weeks
- Determined 92% of other applications in 8 weeks
- Determined 94% of applications through delegated powers
In 2005/06 the Council's Development Control
section achieved the following results:
- Determined 59% of major applications in 13 weeks
- Determined 68% of minor applications in 8 weeks
- Determined 90% of other applications in 8 weeks
- Determined 93% of applications through delegated powers
Development Control are continually working to improve their
