Domestic clinical waste collections
waste collection service from domestic homes includes the
safe collection and disposal of items like hypodermic needles,
incontinence pads and dialysis waste.
Street Scene Services provide a free collection service for
clinical waste for private households - as well as information and
advice.
What we collect
- In a Yellow Bag: swabs or soiled dressings, human or animal
tissue, waste from treatment areas
- In Tiger Sacks: urine containers, bed pan liners, incontinence
pads and stoma bags
- In a Sharps Box: syringes, needles or other sharp instruments
or glass
How to arrange a clinical waste
collection
If you need to arrange a clinical waste collection you should
contact Customer Services on 01695 577177. Street Scene will then
talk to you about how often your collections will be and when they
will start. We try to arrange a first collection within five
working days of receiving your initial enquiry.
We will provide all customers with special bin bags and boxes for
sharp items. Items should be left out for collection by
7.30am.
