Grey bin refuse collections

Grey wheelie binGrey bin refuse collections
We visit your home to collect general household waste that can't be recycled every two weeks.

How it works

We will visit your house on the same day every week. Refuse is taken one week and recycling the next. The only time your collection will change is for the Christmas and New Year bank holidays, and we will tell you about rescheduled collections in December.

If you don't know your collection day or need a collection calendar, please visit our collection calendar page.

How to present your refuse

  • put your bins out at the edge of your property or collection point by 7.00am on your collection day
  • remember that we will only collect refuse from the grey bin that we give you - we will not take any extra bin bags
  • keep the lid down on your bin to stop flies getting in and smells getting out. Double wrap food scraps and things like nappies or pet waste before it goes into the bin to help stop bad smells
  • if you need help presenting your bin on collection day you can complete the Refuse collection assistance online form

If you think you need more bin space please complete the Refuse/recycling enquiry online form. We treat all requests individually and will visit your home to give advice and work out arrangements.

If you have larger items that need to be removed you can request a bulky item collection.
