Q: Once I have completed my form asking for
assistance with my collection, Will someone need to visit my
property to assess my situation?
A: Yes, we will visit your home to check the
details, give advice and work out arrangements.
Q: If I do need a visit when will it take
place?
A: We will contact you to arrange a date and time
that is convenient. That's why we ask you to put your name, address
and phone number on the form.
Q: I have completed the form regarding needing
assistance - when will I be advised if this will be possible?
A: We will contact you as soon as we can after we
receive your form. After we have visited your home we will advise
you of the arrangements.
Q: Are there any criteria which have to be met in
order to qualify for assistance?
A: We will treat every request individually and
will visit your home to check all the details, give advice and work
out arrangements.
Q: I have a temporary injury; can I have
assistance with presenting my bin?

Q: I have steps in my garden; will I have to take
my bin up and down steps in order for it to be emptied?
A: We appreciate that many people have steps in
their garden and we know that the vast majority of people currently
manage to take their rubbish bags, and their green wheelie bin for
garden waste, up and down steps. Special assistance would only be
available for people who are disabled or elderly and they can make
a request by:

Q: What happens if I have a long driveway?
A: Residents are asked to put bins out on
collection day on the kerbside at the edge of your property. This
means taking them to the end of your drive. The only exceptions are
