Open Space, Sport and Recreation Study

Consultants PMP were appointed in the summer of 2008 to prepare an Open Space, Recreation and Sport Assessment for West Lancashire. The aim was to look at the quantity, quality and accessibility of open space provision across the borough and identify any deficiencies / gaps which could be plugged through the planning process. Questionnaires were issued to a random selection of 5,500 households in West Lancashire to gather information about people's perceptions of open space. Consultation was also carried out with schools and other key stakeholders. The report is now available.
